Title

MS 1010, Genesis 5:30 to 10:17

Description

MS1010 originates from Yemen. The manuscript details the story of Noach utilizing an exquisite Hebrew calligraphy. The text is written on beautiful Gevil utilizing a format of 50 lines per column. The widths of the columns are narrow as per the instructions of the Rambam to be able to accommodate the word “Lemishpehotechem” three times. Likewise, Tagin (Crownlets) are absent. The Chets are written as a combination of two "VAVS" joined by a roof. The use of the Peh Kefula is evident in the words VaArubot HaShamayim Niftahu. The condition of this parchment sheet is excellent. Likewise, is that of the ink.
